With a fresh and minty aroma, peppermint essential oil is invigorating and refreshing – great for clearing the mind and inspiring focus at the start of the day, or when you need a boost.

It also operates well as a topical agent, with a cooling effect on the skin it can support physical ailments such as muscle aches, minor burns or insect bites – with anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial properties, it helps lessen the effects of skin complaints and soothes the affected area.

Peppermint essential oil also helps with headaches and brain fog – easing the pain and blowing away the mental clouds. With a penetrating fresh aroma, peppermint leaves you feeling invigorated. Peppermint is also a refreshing scent of cleanliness, when used in a homemade cleaning product or in a diffuser on its own or as part of a blend.

HOW TO USE

• Diffuse: add 10-15 drops of essential oil – on its own or as part of a blend with other oils – to 100ml water in a Kotanical stone oil diffuser.
• Inhale: add 4-12 drops of essential oil to steaming water – in a bowl or as part of a facial steamer – and inhale deeply for up to 10 minutes.
• Massage: add up to 2 drops of essential oil to 4tsp of carrier oil such as coconut, almond, jojoba, grapeseed or olive oil.
• Topical: add 5-10 drops of essential oil to 2tsp of carrier oil such as coconut, almond, jojoba, grapeseed or olive oil.
